Autumn Muse
I took my very first painting class on Thursday. We made trees, and I made mine Autumn trees in the evening.
Fancy Nancy Plumes
I saw these feathers on sale at Hobby Lobby and decided to make the girls Fancy Nancy plume pens. The boys then wanted one too. So they have pirate plume pens using blue feathers!

Wispy curls of pure energy bliss
This is something quite lovely about the wispy curls of steam swirling above my cup of hot coffee...the sweet promise of momentum. :)

Paella
Dan made one of my recipes tonight...paella. Everyone in the family sat down together to the same meal, in our effort to expose the children to more variety. Young children in other countries eat what adults eat, and we are making an effort to do the same with our crew. Success! Gabby loved her paella!!!! She ate all of it. She would not try the shrimp, but otherwise loved it. Cameron ate well, and Hannah had seconds. Connor's tummy was upset prior to making dinner, and he didn't even want toast, so he got a pass. Lily wouldn't try it and decided to go hungry. But little Gabby enjoyed every bite. Tandoori chicken could be next!

Evie's 6 month photo shoot (December 2011)
Here's a link to Evie's 6 month photo shoot in December 2011.....
Creative morning
Laundry, sorted through a bookcase, story hour at home, made handprint tiles, made a sea glass clock for the mudroom, and topped it all off with a warm bowl of homemade jambalaya stew. Ahhh, nice to spend the entire day at home!!!
Breakfast by candlelight
A regular Friday morning...I thought it would be nice to enjoy candlelight with our oatmeal and baby bottle. So nice!

Growing up
Evie getting her ears pierced!
Sweet sisters
Hannah spent time playing outside with Gabby yesterday. She wasn't asked to...she just took Gabby under her wing and gave her time and love to her sister. It was something very special for me to witness. I took these pictures through the kitchen window. They never knew I was watching. Sweet, huh?
