Gabby at the Beach

It's our 1st full day at the Beach! The last time Gabby was here, she was a cute baby bump...not even born yet. Here she is, able to see, hear, smell, and touch the ocean. She cried the first time her toes touched the water. The ocean was a little chilly for her warm baby toes! It only felt chilly at first impact and then felt wonderful. Still, Gabby preferred to doze in my lap or be held in my arms. She was so cute trying to tuck her little baby legs up high to get her toes out of the water! (See 2nd to last photo). We'll see if she turns from beach bum to surfer girl as the week progresses. Gabby, you're our little beach baby!

Lady Lily

Believe it or not, this is how Lily likes to garden...in a pretty dress, sun hat, and purple feather boa! She's quite the diva. You should see her get ready to go shopping!

Tinkerbelle

Hannah is Tinkerbell! She's got her looks, and her spicy, sweet & saucy attitude. All she needs is pixie dust!

Sleeping Angel

Gabby during naptime. She's a sleeping angel! Angel Gabrielle.

Gabby's 1st teeth!

Gabby got her 1st teeth in at 8 months old! As you can see, she's pretty excited, and so are we.

Dining room table

I mentioned our new dining room table in our March newsletter, and here it is! It's 11 feet with the extensions, and 8 feet without. This is to be my heirloom table, to be passed down through generations. I'm hoping for many grandchildren one day and need a table that will seat lots of people! Of course, without the extensions, it's already perfect for our current family of 7. Each chair is about 30 lbs and the entire set is very sturdy. It's built to withstand the test of time. Visions of many future holidays dance in my head....

New Brick Patio

Our new patio is finished! It's twice the size of our old one in Gray, GA. We chose to use the same clay bricks in Savannah brown. Dan took a few weekends to do it, beginning early April and finishing Mother's Day weekend...but took a couple of those weekends off for other activities. A big thank you goes out to Bob, seen in one of the photos here, for helping Dan lay all those bricks during his vacation in GA! The best part was seeing the 2 guys working side by side again. It makes this patio very special. Thank you, Bob!!! Next of the agenda is a pergola over part of the patio and some planting beds around it. We're also getting ready to create a mosaic in blue and green glass adjacent to the patio where our fountain will rest. We've already christened it with eating our first dinner out here, and I'm sitting out on the patio as I type this! We're loving it!!!!
