27 week pregnant!

I'm 27 weeks pregnant this week, and about to begin my 3rd trimester soon. Gabby is in my arms, looking at Finnegan who came over to see what was going on in his domain. He makes sure to be around when any of the children are near. Gabby is a very curious baby, wanting to be privy to everything happening around her. I love being pregnant! A dolphin's pregnancy lasts 12 months, and I find myself wishing that were true for people too.

Baby's Breath

My baby's breath is in full bloom, looking gorgeous after it's winter hibernation. I love how it encircles my "Gabriel" statue in a protective gesture. How very fitting. And very special to me.

You're a Daisy!

Gabby wanted a daisy from my vase and was delighted when I gave her one. Her smile puts that lovely daisy to shame. :)

Goodbye Winter!

The last day of winter, it was 82 degrees! We began the day by attending the Cub Scouts' Pinewood Derby, where Cameron won 1st place in showmanship. His car was judged to look the best! It was shaped like 2 Lego blocks (in GA red & black colors) with a Lego man hanging on for dear life. We went out to eat & the children were as good as gold. Afterward, we went to Sandy creek Park, which had a little beachy area. Then it was on to home, where we all enjoyed the day in our own backyard. What a wonderful way to kiss winter goodbye!

You'll notice Gabby smiling with an ear of corn. Dan BBQ'd burgers and we enjoyed corn on the cob with them. Gabby LOVES corn on the cob! And if you enlarge the picture of Cameron & Connor on the teeter totter, look at Cameron's face...can't you just imagine the caption "Hehehe, if I were to get up right now you'd be goin' for a ride!"

Welcoming March!

There was a storm expected the night of March 1st, but you'd never know it by looking at the afternoon. It was wonderful outside, so the children and I went out to enjoy the day after homework time. The all love the outdoors, and having each other to play with. What a wonderful way to welcome March! And that storm? It turned out to be little more in our area than some rain. I bet we'll get some beautiful Spring flowers out of it! :)

How Gabby welcomed March

March 1st was a warm day, and Gabby welcomed this month by playing outside. She loves to walk around the yard, practicing climbing our front and back steps, looking at pretty flowers, swinging, riding in her car, and petting Finnegan. I had so much fun playing papparazzi! I loved following her around the yard and watching her delight in the simple things. Happy March, Gabby!

6 months pregnant!

I'm 6 months pregnant, as of March 1st! What a wonderful way to welcome March :) This picture was taken at 8pm, after I'd gotten the children tucked into bed and was so tired. Sidney, our indoor cat, wanted to say hi and give me some attention.

Our baby's heart rate was still in the 140's and our little one is doing well. Ah, I just want to savor this wonderful time!

Dr. Seuss Hair

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd, Lily's preschool class is doing something special and "Seuss-related" each day of the week. Tuesday was Crazy Hair Day! She loved it and asked if she could wear her hair like this every day. Ummmm....probably not, honey :)
